REPERTORY
Here you will find links to program notes on several hundred works and topics within classical and world music, ranging from early plainchant to compositions written in the last few years. There are notes on vocal, choral, chamber, and symphonic music; some notes are very brief, while others are extensive. My goal in writing program/liner notes is to strike a balance between providing the most compelling points about the history and technical details of a work's creation while also remaining generally accessible. My hope is to offer something of interest for both the general public and music afficianados.

Notes are organized by LAST NAME of composer (e.g., Brahms, Johannes) or by TOPIC (e.g., Madrigals).
